Accommodation at Kuststigen – coastal and varied hiking trails along the Bohusk coast
Along the coast of Bohuskusten there are longer connected stages and separate circular routes that together form the Coastal Path. The Coastal Path is divided into 3 sub-trails with a total of 39 stages for hiking by the sea, cliffs and forest. The trails are marked in both directions so you can choose which direction you want to walk them.
The southernmost part of the Coastal Path is Dyröleden and the northernmost goes from Ramberget to Svinesund on the border with Norway. In several places the Coastal Path crosses the Bohusleden.
Hiking with a dog on the Coastal Path
You are allowed to bring your dog along the stages of the Coastal Path. However, remember to follow the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency’s guidelines that the dog should be kept on a leash from 1/3 to 20/8 to protect the wild animals and their young. Even during the other periods of the year, the dog needs to be kept under such supervision that it is prevented from chasing the wild animals. Of course, as always, be considerate of other people along the trails and bear in mind that many people may be afraid of dogs. Campsites in Bohuslän for overnight stay next to the Coastal Path
Along the various stages of the Coastal Path there are many sights and attractions to experience. Along many of the trails there are also accommodation facilities for those who want to stay overnight at one of the many fine campsites on the west coast. Stay on a campsite if you have your own camper van, caravan or tent, rent a cabin, hostel, apartment or stay in a hotel.
Several campsites are open all year round and welcome you to stay overnight all year round.
