Excursion destination near Sotenäs Camping
In Kungshamn there is shopping, restaurants, nice parks and bathing spots. In addition, boat trips to, among others, Smögen and Hållö depart from the port. Smögen is a well-known excursion destination with Sweden’s most famous harbor promenade. There are lots of small cozy shops, restaurants and kiosks here. A throng of boats lines the entire promenade and makes the walk an interesting study in parking with a boat. Watching a fishing boat land with its catch and then going to one of the fish and seafood shops and buying fresh prawns is an experience.
Hållö is a large island off Smögen that can only be reached by boat, which departs from Kungshamn. The rock baths and the fantastic marble basin must be experienced and the lighthouse with its surrounding houses are amazing photo objects.
A visit to Nordens Ark, a facility for endangered animals from all over the world is an experience. Here you can find everything from snow leopards to Swedish yellow ducks. Nordens Ark is located approx. 15 km south of Kungshamn.
Perhaps you are fascinated by the Bohuslän granite when you visit us? In that case, we can recommend a visit to the Stone Carving Museum – a gateway to the kingdom of granite. The stone carving museum is located in an old quarry in Hunnebostrand where mining started in the 1930s and was closed down in the 1950s.
