At Bofors Camping you live on Tjärnö in Strömstad, right by the Koster Sea and with direct proximity to both a child-friendly sandy beach, forest and lovely walking paths. You are offered accommodation for caravans, mobile homes and tents, cabins and rooms. All with a fantastic location close to nature right by the sea.

Scenic and pleasant in Bohuslän’s outer archipelago

The surroundings attract bike rides and walks both next to the facility, on the Bohusleden trail and Kuststigens stages that are in the immediate area. If you are interested in fishing, there are good conditions for this, both from land and from a boat. There is not much that beats a freshly caught mackerel from the Koster Sea.

Lots to do in and outside the area

Tjärnö, Saltö, Lindholmen Kosteröarna and many more beautiful islands can be explored outside the area 10 minutes’ walk from the campsite you will find the Saltö nature reserve with absolutely fantastic nature, several hiking trails and also a snorkeling trail. Saltö is also 1 of the 4 entrances to the Kosterhavet National Park. Only 5 minutes’ walk from the campsite you will find a marine research center where you can take a look at Sweden’s most species-rich aquarium.

If you want to see more of Bohuslän’s northern archipelago, a trip to the Koster Islands is recommended. Ferries there leave several times a day from the center of Strömstad. Boat tours such as seal safaris, shrimp trawling and other exciting guided tours also depart from there.
